A swoon worthy, he falls first, love story filled with laughter, tears, and a surprisingly romantic work trip to the Colorado mountains where late night revelations change everything.
Izzy and Leo have been best friends since second grade.
Leo…
He’s been in love with Izzy almost ever since, and was sure someday she’d see him the same way he saw her…as more.
But someday never came and now Leo is twenty-seven years old and ready to shed his virginity, and heartbreak. It’s time for him to find someone else…besides Izzy.
But when she needs a last-minute photographer for the biggest advertising campaign of her career, he can’t let his best friend down. He’s already decided this will be their last job together.
Izzy…
She grew up in the fantasy world of romantic comedy movies that her mom idolized. That “ideal” man was so much better than the disappointing reality of her philandering father.
That same father is now Izzy’s boss, making her work her way up through the misogynistic ranks of his executive team at the family advertising firm. When her dream account wants to hire her, she takes it on, without consulting anyone else in the company.
This is her account, her chance to prove her worthiness.
Escape to romantic Colorado…
But she’s working under a time-crunch, which can make things dangerous on a snowy mountainside. This work trip to Colorado for a last-minute photoshoot has the potential to change everything when Leo and Izzy are faced with having to share a hotel room and the confusing world where attraction becomes a distraction.
They say never fall for your best friend.
How has Izzy never noticed Leo, the man, before? Unfortunately, that discovery may be too late, because he already has other plans, and they don’t include Izzy.
A snowy mountain small town never looked so romantic before, but family drama has a way of ruining everything…

Izzy
I’d been finishing up my meeting with our handler from the resort, Lindsay, when I realized I must have left my phone in the room and couldn’t text Leo to come meet me. No biggie. I wanted to drop my messenger bag off at the room anyway, so I wouldn’t have to lug its weight around while we toured the property and other locations around town.
I slipped my key into the door of our room to find Leo standing in the entryway in front of the mini-fridge, his head leaning back as he gulped down a shot of tequila from one of those mini bottles.
He turned to me. “What…”
My brain froze at the vision in front of me.
Leo, in an itty-bitty towel.
Leo, practically naked.
The problem was Leo was not itty-bitty. Oh, hell no. Not in the least.
In fact…damn…
I took another long perusal.
I think I swallowed my tongue.
My eyes fast-blinked as I looked.
Leo had muscles and thank-freaking-geezus, those muscles had their own little muscles.
And right now all those muscles were right in front of me, rippling, wet, and oh-so-pretty.
I wanted to touch.
In fact, without thinking, I did. I lifted my hand and watched my red painted fingernails drift across that soft, but yet really hard-underneath skin. His muscle rippled under my fingertip, and a little shiver rolled down my spine.
His breath hitched, but he didn’t say anything as he watched my finger.
I’d never in my life been this close to real male perfection.
This was the kind of body that models had.
Not my BFF.
A bead of water rolled down the center of his chest and straight to the thin trail of dark hair leading into that very low towel.
And that’s when I noticed the bulge.
Praise geezus. Leo was hung, and as I watched that bulge became more, a lot more.
“Izzy,” Leo whispered, his voice sounding strangled.
But I couldn’t drag my attention away from that little towel and the scintillating secrets it hid. “Hmm?”
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“Admiring.” My fingers that had still been stroking his chest dropped down across the divots of his abs.
Holy freaking-hell, Leo had real-life abs…lots of them. Way more than six. I thought that was only possible with the help of Photoshop. I ran my fingers over them as I silently counted…eight, nine, ten.
“You have too much.”
He choked. “You think it’s too much?”
I glanced up at his face, where he was gazing worriedly down at his dick.
“You are such a guy.” Why did I sound so breathless? And whispery? I focused lower and swallowed against my dry throat. “But yeah, maybe that, too. I was talking about your abs. You aren’t supposed to have ten. There aren’t that many muscles under there.”
“I think maybe you counted a couple of lats.”
My fingers traced to the little tiny muscles on the sides of his abs.
He hissed in a breath as his skin rippled again.
“Yeah, maybe.” I ran my fingers over the ridges, counting again just to be sure, and studiously ignoring the pointing towel just a bit lower.
“Iz, if you keep feeling me up like this, we’re going to have a totally different problem.”
The beast behind the towel flexed and I swear to god, my core clenched in response.
I couldn’t seem to catch my breath.
